Portfolio-Level Measurement and Learning Framework for DFAT’s Multilateral Economic Cooperation Section (ECO)

Client: Australia’s Department for Foreign Affairs and Trade

Need: Better articulation of results of Aid for Trade programs and evidence-based decision making about investments.

Response: Co-create portfolio-level measurement framework and learning agenda with division and its partners and use this to aid investment decision-making.

  • Co-create and operationalize a measurement framework for a portfolio of 11 diverse programs.
  • Harmonize indicators and introduced data quality assessment approach.
  • Develop learning agenda and conduct investigative studies on cross-cutting issues.
  • Produce first-ever results and learning report on the portfolio (expected June 2023).
