KM Strategy and Capacity Development in Rwanda

Need: Develop capacity in the public and private sectors for the Rwandan Capacity Development and Employment Services Board (CESB)

Response: Through a subcontract with DAI co-created a sustainable KM strategy to guide knowledge generation and sharing, and thought leadership activities

  • Identified a KM core team from across CESB to participate in KM strategy development
  • Carried out a staff skills assessment
  • Structured a series of “quick win” pilots to demonstrate results and corresponding on-the-job training activities
  • Trained KM core team members as trainers of other CESB staff in KM competency areas
  • Catalyzed and launched a Community of Practice
