Need: MEL partner to support open innovation challenges

Response: Take a strategic approach to MEL, embedding impact into the design and carrying it throughimage of an individual holding the Venezuelan flag over this shoulders. at the portfolio, program and project levels through Catalyst, a $35 million, 5-year project

Indicative activities:

  • Developed and guided implementation of MEL strategies and MEL plans for 4 challenges:BetterTogether/JuntosEsMejor; Resilient, Inclusive, and
    Sustainable Environments; Nigeria Covid-19 Food Security, and Women 

Prosper/MujerProspera. In each challenge,

      • Developed an overarching MEL strategy with USAID, co-designed the theory of change and performance framework, identified core KPIs, and embedded high-quality MEL approaches to build grantee capacity.
      • Developed Results Frameworks, indicators, learning agendas,
        and CLA plans.
  • Designed and facilitated MEL capacity building activities Challenge Partners.
  • Systematized processes including developing a MEL MIS, data collection tools, and supporting data quality assessments.
