Learning

We develop and implement strategies for institutional strategic planning, knowledge management and learning, impact measurement, and communications, which advance local development priorities while building staff capacity. Our capabilities include:

  • We design and deliver human institutional capacity development (HICD) activities for donors, governments, nongovernmental and civil society organizations and commercial firms.
  • We conduct needs assessments and develop curricula in a wide range of topics from knowledge management strategy development to leadership training.
  • We apply a signature approach that helps ensure uptake of capacity and sustainability of results.
  • We leverage technology, including online platforms, to deliver learning experiences that change behavior and contribute to results.

Highlights:

  • Knowledge Management Strategy & Program Design: We help clients formalize their knowledge management vision and develop and implement knowledge management strategies. Among our clients were  the Nigeria Stability and Reconciliation Programme and the National Capacity Building Secretariat in Rwanda.
  • Peer Learning Network Development: We create and curate both ad hoc and permanent peer learning networks, specializing in South-South knowledge exchange. Examples include the review of peer learning activities in Africa for the World Bank Group’s Investment Advisory Services in Africa and the launch of a peer learning network of reformers from West African Economic and Monetary Union countries and Guinea around Doing Business-related reforms.
  • Technology Platforms Design & Development: We bring both IT project management and KM expertise to design and development of technology platforms to support knowledge sharing and learning. We deliver state of the art solutions, ranging from communities of practice operating on off-the-shelf platforms to mobile learning platforms co-created and custom-designed with users. We advised Arizona State University on a lifelong learning platform for the MasterCard Foundation Scholars program. We applied a design thinking approach to platform creation, identified the technology partner, and managed the development of a mobile-first prototype.
